Directing Services and Pricing

Hourly Rates

  • 0-2 Hours: $500/hour

  • 3-6 Hours: $425/hour

  • 7-10 Hours: $350/hour

  • 11-15 Hours: $350/hour

  • Union Projects: Rates are determined by the Directors Guild of America (DGA) guidelines.

  • Non-Union Projects: Rates are case-by-case based on project scope.

Tiered Directing Services

1. Low-Budget Productions

For independent filmmakers, student projects, or small-scale productions:

  • Base Package: $2,500
    Includes up to 6 hours of directing. Additional hours charged at $425/hour.

  • Pre-Production Add-On: $750
    Includes consultation, shot planning, and script breakdown (up to 2 hours).

  • Post-Production Consultation: $500
    Includes one session to guide editing or offer creative feedback.

2. Mid-Budget Productions

For commercial projects, music videos, or mid-tier indie films:

  • Base Package: $6,500
    Includes up to 10 hours of directing. Additional hours charged at $350/hour.

  • Pre-Production Add-On: $1,500
    Includes detailed storyboarding, production meetings, and script revisions.

  • On-Set Consultation: $1,200
    For complex projects requiring coordination with other creatives (up to 3 hours).

3. Large Studio Productions

For full-scale films, TV series, or major commercials:

  • Base Package: $15,000
    Includes up to 15 hours of directing. Additional hours charged at $350/hour.

  • Pre-Production Package: $3,000
    Includes advanced shot planning, script breakdown, and production collaboration.

  • On-Set Creative Development: $2,500
    Additional on-set time to refine vision and manage large-scale setups.
